About Us
Christ Memorial Baptist Church is an American Baptist church that offers traditional and contemporary services. All are welcome to join us in worship and activities.

We began in 1963 in the garage of a parsonage with the purpose of becoming more like Christ and sharing His love with the community. We are a diverse community of believers that come together to worship God.

1.We believe there is only one Living and True God; loving Creator of all things, infinitely perfect in knowledge and power, eternally existing in three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.

2.We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, consisting of the sixty-six (66) books of the Old and New Testaments, is entirely inspired of God, is inerrant in the original writings, and the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

3.We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, and is God incarnate (in the flesh) – fully God and fully man, Who lived a perfect, sinless life.

4.We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is essential in every facet of Christian life and ministry. The Holy Spirit indwells, guides, teaches and empowers the believer, and convicts the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment.

5.We believe that human beings were created in the image and after the likeness of God. They sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. All human beings are born with a sinful nature which separates us from God.

6.We believe that there is an enemy of our souls named Satan, who wishes to keep us from following God and being saved. Satan is a master liar and deceiver who desires our eternal destruction and condemnation into Hell.

7.    We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and all who repent and believe, professing genuine faith in Him, are justified by His all-sufficient shed blood and righteousness.

8.We believe in the physical resurrection of the crucified body of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His eternal reign as Lord over all the earth. He is High Priest, Advocate, and the only Mediator between God and man.

9.We believe in the personal, bodily and pre-millennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ to set up His eternal kingdom upon the New Earth to reign in righteousness and justice. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission.

10.We believe that salvation is by grace through faith; all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become new creations; children of God in whom the Holy Spirit dwells. We believe that saving faith results in sanctification, the transformation of life in growing conformity to Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

11.We believe there are two ordinances, baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, which Christians are to observe in obedience to Christ. They provide an expression of faith regarding the believer’s identification and fellowship with Christ and His Body, the Church.

12.We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.

13.We believe the church is the Body of Christ. Its mission is to make the Gospel known to every person and to teach His disciples to follow all things Jesus commanded. Also the church is to become involved in the improvement of society by advocating biblical principles which respond actively against poverty, racism, violence, and all forms of injustice against humankind.

14.We believe that marriage was ordained by God to be between one man and one woman, bonded together in love for a lifetime. We believe that all sexual activity is to be reserved exclusively for expression within marriage.

15.We believe in the doctrine of the Priesthood of All Believers. Therefore, every member is a minister, called and equipped by the Holy Spirit to serve the Body of Christ and to share and live out the good news of salvation in the world.

What We Believe
Year 2020
God is working among us. He is building His church. And He calls us to grow it with Him. In the year 2020, let’s make it our vision to grow in Christ as His disciples and to reach out to others to help them also grow closer to God through faith in Jesus Christ, His Son.
  In 2020: GROW:
by reading God’s Word and praying daily
by gathering for worship at least weekly
by seeking fellowship with other believers at least weekly
by involvement in a course of study (Sunday School, CLDC, online, etc.)
by reading a book on some aspect of discipleship or theology at least monthly
REACH OUT:
by making friends – especially with the friendless
by inviting others to church
by engaging in conversations about Christ
by giving away Bibles, gospels, books, DVD’s, devotionals, etc.
by being generous to others
by praying for others
  Let’s make 2020 a year to remember!!!
